Chris Revere brings 20 years of federal and state issue advocacy and political action expertise to The Sheridan Group. His policy work has included representing facets of the health care, financial services, international development, and renewable energy sectors.
Chris' experience in state public policy-making brings a unique perspective to issues currently being debated in Washington D.C. As an advocate in Albany, N.Y., he helped craft legislation addressing consumer privacy and identity theft, electronic recycling, and environmental stewardship. As the principal advocate for New York credit unions, Chris developed and executed legislative and grassroots political action programs that increased credit union membership. He also helped prioritize client engagement in national presidential conventions.
Since joining the Sheridan Group in 2007, Chris has been leading the domestic policy portfolio for the firm and working primarily with our patient advocacy groups. This includes the 40-member One Voice Against Cancer Coalition and the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome & Immune Dysfunction Association of America dedicated to fighting for increased federal investment in research, screening and prevention programs. He also extends his core policy work to childhood chronic disease and special education.
Chris has also been a driving force behind a coalition of 20 national children's organizations that worked successfully with Congress to create the National Commission on Children and Disasters, a 10 member panel that will report its recommendations to the next President and Congress on how to best prepare for and address the unique needs of children affected by disasters.
Chris holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the Nelson A. Rockefeller School of Public Affairs & Policy and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hobart College. He and his wife, Gigi Hyland, reside in Alexandria.
