Caroline Wagner Caroline Wagner Senior Policy Associate

Caroline brings years of legislative policy experience on Capitol Hill to The Sheridan Group. Caroline joined The Sheridan Group in March 2012 after serving on the legislative staff of Representative Paul D. Tonko (NY-21).  Caroline served as the key legislative staffer on issues such as healthcare, children and families, housing, and seniors. She was also integral to assisting Congressman Tonko with his work on the politically charged House Budget Committee.  Prior to her positions as legislative assistant and legislative correspondent in Congressman Tonko’s office, Caroline worked for another Member of Congress from upstate New York, Representative Dan Maffei (NY-25).

During the 2010 Congressional election cycle, Caroline returned to her home state of Ohio to work on the successful reelection campaign of Congresswoman Betty Sutton (OH-13).

In addition to her work on Capitol Hill, Caroline brings years of non-profit and foundation experience to The Sheridan Group.  In Cleveland, New York, and Washington D.C., Caroline has worked with both grant-makers and non-profits and seen firsthand the dramatic impact that innovative service models and supportive federal policies can have on both rural and urban communities.

Caroline received her B.A. in History from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York.
