Mary Curran Mary Curran Research and Development Fellow

As a Research and Development Fellow, Mary is currently leading the social marketing initiatives at The Sheridan Group.  Her charge is to find effective avenues for promoting the great work of our partners and to tell of the story of effective advocacy outcomes.

Mary also provides valuable research and writing support to the entire legislative team.  She is currently focusing her work on social innovation, global health and international affairs.

Mary graduated cum laude from Canisius College with Bachelor’s Degrees in English and Political Science. She was inducted into the International English Honor Society her senior year for excellence in writing and research. While at Canisius, she participated in various political science organizations, including College Democrats, and worked on Kathy Hochul’s Congressional Campaign for New York’s 26th District.  Mary also played Division I Volleyball.

Community Engagement

Mary spent time volunteering for community organizations such as Shoes for Shelter and Habitat for Humanity.  She also worked as a note taker for students with disabilities and volunteered as an assistant coach for a middle school volleyball team.
